Ginataang Hipon, Kalabasa, Sitaw at Malungay


Ginataang Hipon, kalabasa, sitaw at malungay(Shrimp, squash, string beans and moringa in a coconut milk), is a healthy recipe for a whole family to enjoy eating. Squash, a cup of squash contains only about 36 calories, 7 grams carbohydrates, less than 1 gram of fat, and a gram of protein. Squash also contains no cholesterol. String beans or green beans is low in fat and offer an excellent source of protein, fiber, and complex carbohydrates. Moringa or malungay in tagalog leaf boosts your energy in a natural manner, and is remarkable source of nutrition.

Ingredients:


1/4 kl. fresh shrimp
1 can coconut milk
1 1/2 cups squash, cubed
1 cup string beans, cut into pieces (2 inches)
1/2 cup moringa (malungay)
4 cloves garlic,mince
1 onion,mince
salt and pepper to taste

Directions:
1.) In a saucepan, combine coconut milk with the garlic and onion.
     Simmer until coconut milk is absorbed and oil begins to come out, mixing from time to time is needed.
2.) Add the string beans, when the beans is half-cooked add the squash then follow the shrimps.
3.) If shrimp is almost pink add the moringa or malungay. 
4.) Season to taste with salt and pepper.
5.) Enjoy and happy eating!
